Why Nonprofits and Churches?

Over my decade-long career in marketing strategy for nonprofits and scrappy agencies, I've witnessed how greed, pride, and unhealthy communication habits can derail the organizations that should be the best of us.

That's why this chapter of my career is focused on nonprofit communications and culture strategy. Today, I'm graduate-level certified to tackle communication, culture, and change management challenges in complex environments. My workshops and strategy solutions help faith-based organizations foster productive communication with internal and external stakeholders so that they can steward their gifts from a place of mental, emotional, material, and spiritual abundance.

Culture Change & Healthy Communication Patterns for the Church

My work is driven by the beauty of Christ's life and continual ministry as stated in Colossians 1:19-20: "For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross."

We see this ministry tarnished in the news and our own churches and organizations because of toxic leadership, organizational chaos, and lack of clarity on how our churches can uniquely hold out the gospel to our communities. But with thoughtful conversations and planning, we can be a small part of a better story.

I spent the past decade of my career in nonprofit communications and am passionate about fostering unity and efficacy in all expressions of the Christian Church. Because of Jesus, collaboration is possible across ages, life stages, personalities, backgrounds, and tertiary theology. Let’s own that reality through intentional dialogues and organizational strategy.

(Internal & External) Relational Stewardship for Nonprofits

Within your limited resources, your nonprofit propels astounding life-change for vulnerable populations. For some staff members and supporters, these limitations produce immense creativity and fruit. But too often, after too long, many nonprofits find themselves throwing it all against the wall to see what sticks. The unhealthy results of this chaos can show up in ineffective and incoherent marketing efforts, employee burnout, scope creep, and uncertainty amongst staff and supporters.

The good work that Christ entrusted to you deserves a good strategy. Whether you're empowering the working poor and people experiencing homelessness, changing the game in orphan care, or revolutionizing prison ministry, you need intentional practices in place to ensure your team members, donors, volunteers, and advocates alike receive the same compassionate care and clear direction that you provide to those you serve.

Homecoming Creative offers a variety of data-driven evaluations, workshops, and communication and marketing strategies for nonprofits who want to see all of their people stewarding their unique gifts without spinning their wheels. Let's discover what's holding you back and create a plan to move your mission forward together.
